Some vintage mics look better a few inches (three actually) above the Shure S36 desk stand. If you purchased the S36 by itself in the 40s or 50s, it came with a three inch neck, but if it came as part of a mic package (often with Model 520SL or Hercules mics) it didn't include the neck. So here's a reproduction of the missing neck for piecing together a good looking desk mic display.
