Aranea Aurisdormienti, common name Sicilian Ear Spider. It is a carnivorous parasitic spider that resides on host bodies and feeds mostly on ear wax and dried blood. They have 10 appendages with the rear legs used to anchor inside mid ear and front legs used to dig and aid in the ingestion of food. Adult Ear Spiders can grow to 2.5" in width and burrows deep into ear when threatened. They are nocturnal creates and migrate between hosts at night. They are known to produce hallucination inducing 'songs' in host ears.
