Sidewinder x2 Z Support

Sidewinder x2 Z Support

Support for the Sidewinder x2 to help reduce z wobble. I wanted a simple, print only Z-axis support for the Sidewinder x2. Since it is fairly new, all the supports are for the x1. This allows you to screw the support to the wall at an optimal distance to allow for the y-axis cable. The support attaches to the printer via the slots for the spool holder. You will need some kind of set screw the same size as the one on the spool holder to tighten it to the printer.

Edit: I have tested this and can confirm that the tab fits into the filament spool slot. The length is plenty long enough to keep the bed away from the wall. It is set at the ideal length to minimize waste of space while still allowing a full range of motion from the printer. I may add a minimalized version soon, so that it uses much less filament and takes less time.

Print Settings

Printer:

Artillery Sidewinder x2

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

.2

Infill:

25

Filament: Overture PLA Blue

Notes:

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS: I have not had a chance to print this, I took about 15 minutes to design it. Changes will be made. I will not be with my printers for another week, as soon as I am home, I will print this and make any necessary changes to the model. Print at your own risk, it might not work as intended yet. If you do print, let me know what changes need to be made and how well it works.
EDIT: It works, will make small changes if needed. Happy printing!

Category: 3D Printer Accessories
