Sieve with adjustable compartments

Sieve with adjustable compartments

prusaprinters

Hi folks,

here is a sieve with up to 8 seperate compartments. I use it for harvesting and washing my homegrown herbs and small leafy greens. Usually I'll harvest several different types like parsley, oregano, coriander, thyme or small leafy greens like arugola or garden cress. When washing them in a big sieve they tend to get mixed up which annoyed me quite a lot. Therefore I have created this sieve with compartments. Is PLA foodsafe you may ask? Well...yes and no... To me it is safe enough for washing my herbs. But don't take my word for it, read the really informative article by formlabs on foodsafety in 3d printing:

https://formlabs.com/blog/guide-to-food-safe-3d-printing/

Print

I printed the sieve with 0.25 mm (6 hours) using a modifier in sclicer to open the bottom and show the infill. The compartments I printed with 0.2 mm without solid top and bottom layers. See als the .3mf files, where all those changes and settings are already added.

Files

I've added the original Fusion30 (.f3d) and .stp file so you are free to use the file anyway you like.

Have fun using the sieve and please let me see your prints.

Category: Household
