Threaded Barrel Filing Guide The Sig Sauer M17 has a loaded chamber indicator, yet no-one sells a threaded barrel with the notch cut in it. I have access to a mill, but plenty of people don't have that luxury. This guide will help you Dremel and file in the notch for a SilencerCo P320 threaded barrel. The cut is only for clearance of the LCI so it certainly could be filed/cut in by hand. There are 3 separate STL files with 3 different tolerances around what holds the barrel because no printer prints the same. I recommend the .002" clearance file, but if it doesn't fit, you could print the larger ones. If none of these fit, I have included a .STEP file so that you can remix it to your heart's content. -M17File002.stl (.002" Clearance Each Side) <---Recommended -M17File003.stl (.003" Clearance Each Side) -M17File004.stl (.004" Clearance Each Side) I printed my guide with a .2mm resolution, with no supports, and a 20% infill. Try and give the print at least 3 or 4 perimeters for longevity of the jig. I also would recommend that you put a couple dabs of hot glue at the base of the jig so that the barrel doesn't move under heavy filing/cutting. Isopropyl/rubbing alcohol pops hot glue right off when you are done. KEEP CALIPERS CLOSE AND CHECK FREQUENTLY. BE CAREFUL TO NOT FILE YOUR FEED RAMP. If you decide to modify your barrel, keep some calipers close to ensure the proper measurements for the groove. The groove I measured was .08" deep and .1325" wide. Chamfer edges by hand after groove is cut to size to match original barrel.
