# Sigma speedo .16 family fork mount ## Intro I looked for a small speedo with fork mount, like the `Sachs Huret Multitronic` from the 90ties for my next bike. I need only the total km, optional the speed, but no fancy stuff. One of the smallest, cheap, still available and probably longer available is the Sigma BC5.16. I found [other designs](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2661753), which make use of the sigma style quick release connector. I found the bike site connector is screwed to the real bike attachment part, so i started to construct that bike site attachment part to my own needs. ## Suitable for dot16 family My thing will fit not only to the BC5.16 but also to other Sigma Speedos. But there are at least two different mount types out there, as far as i understood is the difference in the electrical connection. If you are interested to use my thing, check the spare part number of the sensor-cable-mounting for your speedo. I used `wired bracket 2032`, which fits to Pure1, BC 5.16, 7.16, 9.16, 14.16, 16.16. ## Fork diameter The fork diameter i used for construction is 27mm, but the part is very flexible and will fit also smaller and bigger forks. Consider to set thin rubber between the fork and the part (e.g. part of an old tube). ## Joint, Cable, Mounting I used an M3/20mm screw with hex head (which will fit into the recess on one side) and a M3 nut on the other side (which will also fit, if you heat it up for the first sitting) I shortened the cable, ~~but i think it is also possible to store the whole cable below the speedo with some zip ties~~ and added a version for solder-afraid people with a kind of cable spool, hold by a zip tie. It is also possible to mount the fork part directly on a lowrider mount point, if you drill a hole into the forkpart. And yes, i am aware that it is mounted on the wrong fork side on the picture, it is (like the color) only for demo purposes and the right side on this bike is to cluttered with stuff :-) ## Printing and Construction Nothing fancy. I printed the Speedo connector upside down without any support. I printed the Fork part also upside down with support (needed for the sensor position holders) 0.20 mm, 10% infill, Prusa PETG @250° Postprocessing: Wiggle the support away. I used fusion360 for construction and added the archive - feel free to change the construction without wiggling around with the stl files...
