Signal Whistle ~ 87 dB

Signal Whistle ~ 87 dB

thingiverse

This whistle has two versions: 75mm keyed in Soprano, and 130mm keyed in Alto. Clocks in at 87 Decibels ongoing from 1 foot away. Long body allows for optimal sound. Many of the whistles I have seen on Thingiverse make only high pitch noises. Those sounds are not effective for signaling, as the human ear is optimized for moderate sounds. This instrument will make a loud and fuller sound. The design can also be scaled down in size for higher pitch. I prefer the low pitches for their mysterious sounds. This whistle can also be used to train your dog to heel, sit, lay, and many other executed commands. Currently being printed. I will be submitting this design for the Make It Loud contest! Please help me to win by viewing, liking, adding to a collection, or printing a physical model. I would like to thank my fellow technology students, and my teacher, Mr Hendricks. Vote for me, and let the adults know that teens are just as capable! Designed for ABS, however could be printed in PLA. How I Designed This TinkerCAD I designed this recorder over the course of a few nights, fine-tuning the design to make a perfect resounding medium C note. I had to remove the curved lip from the bottom of the piece in order to allow for more reliable printing.
