A mold for silicone heat block socks. Compatible for Ender-3, Ender-4 and possibly many more. Print and assembly: Only Mold_Core.stl needs support. The rest can be printed without, as positioned in the stl files. Ensure the four small holes are open in the piston. If not, drill them open with a 1.5mm drilbit. Glue the mold cavity to the piston. The piston have a quite snug fit into the piston guide, so you may have to do some sanding, to fit theese together. (keep it snug) Procedure: 1 - If you got hold of Acetate silicone, mix some with a few drops of water to accelerate the curing. You can use a small plastic bag for the mixing. Not so messy. ;-) 2 - Spray the mold with WD40, dip it in water with a good dash dish soap, or any kind of thin non-stick fluid. 3 - Pour 3.5 cubic centimeters silicon into the mold core. 4 - Mount the piston guide to the mold core. Use M3 bolts and nuts, or document binder clips to keep them together.... Or simply hold them tight together with your hands. 5 - Push down the piston all the way down. (gently, but firm) 6 - Wait at least an hour, before you open the mold. Depending on how well you mixed the water into the silicon, you may have to wait 24 hours before using the silicon sock. Steam may make it burst. Needed items: - Heat resistent silicone (min. 300 C). Acetate silicone (smells like vinegar) is the best choice, since the curing can be boosted by water. - Glue - WD40, Water with a good dash dish soap, or any other thin anti-stick fluid. Nice to have items: - 3mm screws and nuts, or document binder clips. - Small plastic bag.
