Silkscreen stencil for scout projects

<p>I created this for a Girl Scout project, where the scouts will be learning about screen printing &amp; making T-shirts.</p><p>We are working with a professional shirt printer to get troop shirts made, but are also experimenting with the different ways we can make them ourselves. One option is this print-onto-sheer method for making a screen.</p><p>The sheer fabric is upcycled curtain material, and is taped directly to the print bed. The design is one layer deep and printed directly onto the material.</p><p>After printing, the screen/sheer is duct taped to a wooden frame (dollar store / craft store photo frame) to make something that can be handled nicely while printing.</p><p>Screen printing is done with Speedball brand inks, and an old credit card or gift card as a squeegee.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p>
