Despite my Suburban being a 1999, with 288,XXX miles on it, people tried to steal it twice. I guess it's worth a lot in parts even though it's not worth a lot as a whole. To prevent this theft I've added an alarm, and now use the brake to steering wheel club. It's horribly inconvenient, especially when it's not on the truck. It bounces around, and jingles in an annoying tone, and always slides away from every nook or cranny I try to hide it in. That's when I got this idea; why not make some brackets for it? I added little notches so that you can hook rubber bands on the top to keep it from bouncing out, for me it's kind of a snap in so it doesn't need it, I just added them in case I get a different one or something. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa i3 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 60% Notes: I did supports just because I wanted the mounting holes to be perfect (not that it matters). Reality is you can build this without supports. I posted the files for both together, and individual in case someone only wanted the rear, or the front. On that note, for some reason I named them "mount 1" and "mount 2" instead of front and rear, the rear is the shorter one because the front needed to be spaced further away from the door than the rear did. You know your printer better than I do, but here are my settings: Bed: 75 celcius Hotend: 235 celcius Material: ABS (for strength) Built in 123d Design, if someone wants the 123d files, I'll be happy to give them to you, just can't upload here, file format not accepted.
