This 2 Stage Gearbox was the result of a Machine Design project in 2009. Please download the ZIP file to gain access to the CAD files My partner and I designed this 2 stage reduction gearbox. Unlike the other Gearbox I've uploaded, this one does not have involute teeth so they are approximations. However, this one also had detailed stress calculations performed in order to size the shafts, gears, bearings, and keyways to common conventions. This was performed by hand calculating reactions and moments, and then using Mathcad to calculate factors of safety. The housing is definitely overkill, but we were also never planning on actually making this :)
