Paying a tire shop $80 to do a front end alignment may seem like a great idea to save your tires. But the technology isn't as magical as you may think. It's all about being able to measure the angle of the tires. Yes, they have fancy equipment, but the tech is still as old as time. Simple idea, make the tires run parallel. If you can get them within an 1/8th of an inch, it's .21 degrees off. Very little. But you should be able to get even better than that with this tool. The tool makes it an easy one person operation to measure. This tool is about how to measure toe adjustment. Usage: The probes points just need to barely touch the rims. Needs to be done on a flat surface. Then read the tape measures. I found my tape measures at the dollar store. These are 16 foot tape measure that fit in the cradle. STL will fit on a 200x200 printer bed. Print file twice. Once printed, just use some 1 inch screws to screw it to 3 foot, 1x4 pine boards. Make sure your boards are flat. Don't forget to make sure your steering wheel is straight for making adjustments.
