Simple Collapsing Dice Tower - Print in place

thingiverse

This is a simple print in place dice tower. I wasn't planning on designing this myself, I was just shocked something like this didn't already exist. So here it is. There is a test file, that is the hinge. If you want to do a test print of that first to make sure if folds as you want it to. The ramp at the bottom is a 59 or 60 degree incline, so I would advise changing the support overhang angle to be 60 or more. Supports are needed for the opening, just I don't know if it will complicate the hinge by having them there. This can work as a dice carry case too, it holds 2 full sets of dice (d4,d6,d8,d10,d100,d12, and d20) Yet I would advise to leave it empty when using it as a tower so there is room. I plan on lining the bottoms with felt to give it more of a finished feel. Have not yet dropped any metal dice in it, only plastic clickety clacks. As with all my models, if you want the files, let me know. I am happy to share. I made this using TinkerCAD and mostly a few rectangles.
