*UPDATED* v2 - more inline with nozzle and easier to insert dial indicator. Very simple dial indicator mount for a Prusa i3 Mk3. unscrew the Front cooling fan, the cooling shroud(orange) and the cooling fan mount (black). The mount will screw in using the two short M3 Socket head screws that you just undid from above. Slide your dial gauge into the hole or modify/remix to suit your dial gauge. ** v2 will require 2x M3 10-14mm bolts I found its best to start from the middle and use this as your reference point. Measure the edges first, then the corners. Be aware that you wont be able to get it absolutely perfect due to the inductance coils in the heat bed and the white paint. I made this because after using Octoprint and the mesh bed leveling tools, i still cant get a consistant leveled bed. I wanted to be sure it was mechanically straight using the old-school, tried and tested method.
