Simple GT2 Belt Tensioner

Simple GT2 Belt Tensioner

thingiverse

A simple tensioner for a GT2 belt I designed for my Delta printer. This attaches to the belt, and moves with it. Obviously (!?), attach it to the belt at a location which won't go through a pulley or interfere with some other part. Uses a 14mm (or so) M3 screw and nut to bend the belt sideways. NB: Photo is of the prototype. I thought that perhaps the screw might cut into the belt, so I added the "pusher" between the belt and the end of the screw NB: The "pusher" is tapered, so it is much easier to insert between belt and frame one way than the other. [Edit] Slightly enlarged the frame to make it stronger after I broke one. Print Settings Printer: ZoneStar D810 delta Rafts: No Supports: No Infill: 30% + Post-Printing Make sure the surfaces that press against the belt are clean and smooth.
