Simple ICOM 7300 radio stand

thingiverse

This is a simple solid stand for the ICOM 7300 HF radio. I have poor vision and need to get close to the radio to see it. This stand positions the radio at a 30 degree angle making it much easier for me to see the face of the radio. The OpenSCAD file is included so you can change the angle if you wish. Change the values of "Angle" and "BackAngle" in the OpenSCAD file and render a new .stl file. The stand is solid and fits the radio like a glove. If you push the radio, both the radio and stand move as a unit. To prevent the radio and stand from sliding on the desk, add some thin stick-on rubber feet under the stand. I printed my stand on an Ender 3 printer with a 30% infill and support with a one layer thick base under the support touching the print bed.
