Simple Sprayer Nozzle (Customizable)

Simple Sprayer Nozzle (Customizable)

thingiverse

I created this simple spray nozzle to plug in to a 1/4" quick disconnect ball valve to use as a little sprayer for plants. The SCAD file can be customized for different connection sizes, face sizes and hole sizes. If you change the face size some minor edits will be required to add more holes but everything is commented and should be clear. No supports are required. Update: I added a version of the files tweaked to be printed with "spiralize" mode in Cura. I was having problems with the nozzle breaking off at a layer boundary if it got dropped and spiralize seems to result in a stronger part. Printing in ABS then acetone vapor smoothing it may also result in a stronger part because the shell layers will be better fused. Print Settings Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: TAZ 5 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 20 Notes: Printed in ABS with 0.2 mm layer height, 20% infill 1.5 mm shell thickness. No support required. Holes in the bottom layers print undersized on my printer so they are oversized in the model. If you printer prints true size holes in the bottom layer you may need to decrease hole_radius. The goal is to have pinholes so you balance the flow of the 1/4" hose with the output and maintain spray pressure. Of course, if you want a weaker spray you could always increase the hole size. How I Designed This Created programmatically with OpenSCAD (I'm a software dev so I'm more comfortable in that than 3d modeling programs).
