Simple Tensegrity Sculpture

Simple Tensegrity Sculpture

thingiverse

Simple, easy to print tensegrity sculpture. Modeled in Solidworks. Arms plug-in, and get glued into the bases (hotglue, rubber cement, ect.) I used a slightly thicker fishing line and was able to tie 3-4 knots to keep the line from pulling thru the holes, but if you use 5-10 pound line, you may have to improvise to get the line to no pull thru the hole - maybe tie around a bead or button. I recommend tieing the center tension line first so everything is equally spaced, then flip it on its side, and use blocks to make everything square, then carefully tie you outer two lines. Takes some patience to tie them at the right length/ tension.
