Simucube 2 Sport SRC Formula Chassis Mount

Simucube 2 Sport SRC Formula Chassis Mount

I was having difficulty finding a horizontal to vertical mount for the Simucube 2 motor as everything is backordered, so I designed a 3D printable model. This mount fits the SRC-FX Formula (SimRaceComponents). It's very sturdy at 0.2mm layer height and with 15% infill it took about 32h to print on my Ender 3. I used clear PETG by ICE Filaments and 5 perimeter walls, as well as 5 bottom and top layers to give it really good strength for mounting the M8 screws and the heavy motor. For me, it used about half of the 750g 1.75mm spool. I suggest using as narrow support for the motor shaft through-hole as possible as that reduces printing time a lot. But it depends on each printer. As my Ender 3 bed is just marginally wider than the mount base, it's important to make sure the bed clips are not in the way.
