Singa The Lion, also known as Singa the Courtesy Lion, served as a popular mascot for various public education initiatives in Singapore. This iconic symbol was designed to instill courtesy, graciousness and ultimately kindness within the community. In 1982, a nationwide campaign featuring Singa the Lion was launched under the National Courtesy Campaign with the rallying cry, "Courtesy is an integral part of our heritage; it's delightful to be considerate." From 2009 through 2013, Singa The Lion became an official ambassador for the Singapore Kindness Movement.
