My mother in law lost the cotton spool holder for her Singer Model 140Q (USA) so I quickly designed a new one in Fusion 360. I can't imagine anyone her needing one but you just never know! Well I was wrong. A lot of people have saved this part. I will try to find time to give it some ribs to make it stronger. 190318 Updated! It's taken me ages to get back to this part but here it is. I added flutes to make it a bit stronger. I made one new version with holes in the base. It printed fine on our Makerbot Replicator+ without supports. There was a tiny bit of droop but nothing that caused any issues. I have not tried printing it with support. The new one without holes prints fine with no support. I'd like to see any makes. Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator+ Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm 2 shels Infill: 40% Notes: You need to slow the printer down a bit so the layers get a chance to cool. I did this by spacing two parts on the build plate. The time taken to travel from part to part allows for cooling. 190318 Update: The last one I printed with holes was printed on it's own and was fine. This is on a new Makerbot Replicator+
