Single and double electrical gang box extender / spacer

I helped someone out had 1/4" drywall put on top of a finished wall. Used these spacers to bring the electrical devices out to be flush with the new wall. The spacer is 1cm thick, which worked out great for the 1/4" drywall plus texture. I was working with old metal boxes, but I also test fitted with a verity of modern plastic boxes. There are multiple alternatives to this on this site, but these made more sense to me. They are a bit smaller to avoid over cutting the drywall, but are still fully supported by the box. I think the larger surface area offer more stability, without using more plastic (it does not require much fill).
