Sink and Disposal Strainer

<p>Yet Another Sink Strainer: Keep your measuring spoons and teaspoons from going down the disposal! And keep the bulk of the food from going down -- using the disposal for anything but small scraps is notorious for clogging drain and sewer lines.</p><p>My friends wanted one or two each. I measured their sinks and found three common sizes. STL files are provided for those (3 in = 76.2 mm, 3 1/8 in = 79.4 mm, 3 1/4 in = 83.0 mm).</p><p>In addition, the OpenSCAD source file is included to allow customization. For that, open it in OpenSCAD 2021.01 or later, use the Customizer Window to modify parameters as desired using F5 to preview, and when satisfied press F6 to render followed by F7 to save as STL.</p><p>The handle can be removed, shortened, or lengthened, and it can be faceted by setting $fn to smaller values. The curb around the outside can be raised, lowered or removed. The number of rows and columns of holes and the size of the holes are under your control.</p><p>If printed in PLA and you pour hot pasta water over it, it may sag slightly toward the middle, but it's not too bad. PLA is not harmed by water (I have a running experiment with some pieces in water and they remain unchanged after 7 months).</p><h3>Print Settings</h3><p>I recommend 100% infill to reduce the chance the handle could break off if you set a pot on it.</p><p>Category: Kitchen &amp; Dining</p>
