Sinner Spirit recumbent (ligfiets) chain tube holder

thingiverse

My wife's Sinner Spirit recumbent bike worked very well, but for one thing. Having shortened the length of the boom to suit the length of her legs and having installed a larger chainring, the chain line was no longer straight, with the chain direction being altered by the chaintube itself. This resulted in a considerable amount of noise and drag from the chain running through the chaintubes. This 3D printed part allows the chain tube to run closer to the mounting bolt than is possible with the stock metal part, and it allows for adjustment so that the chainline can be straight. Much quieter and more efficient. Best rotated so that the surface with the large cutout (for the chaintube) is flat across the bed. Depending on how your printer handles unsupported printing, the small cutout (for the bolt) may require some rework with a file after printing.
