An 18 mm proximity sensor mount and 40 mm cooling fan mount/duct, that is designed for the heavy duty MK8 extruder mount used on the Sintron Prusa i3 printer build. Instructions Printed using PLA. I created the parts in Tinkercad. I would recommend using PET+ filament now. It prints way better for me than PLA or ABS. It also seems stronger. Connecting fans and proximity sensors are fairly easy so long as you are using the Ramps 1.4 board. I cannot speak to any other system at this point. The sensor uses a 2n2222 transistor and a resistor circuit to control the output of the sensor into the Ramps endstop circuit. I copied the circuit I found on this thing: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:447719 Just be careful about wiring and polarity when you are using a NPN or PNP sensor. I also found I got better results to run the sensor power directly from the 12VDC PS, rather than using the Z-endstop connector power (which I think is 5VDC). Problems: The location of the z-sensor mount is critical for the z-axis homing process. As a result of the original location - requiring constant z-homing monitoring, I have added a second sensor mount that can attach to the back of the x-carriage using two M5 screws. The new location of the sensor should allow me to in practice ALWAYS have safe homing when I do it in XYZ order.
