A set of amulets based on six fold terdragons. Six fold terdragons are easily constructed. Six copies of a terdragon, (see thing:67886), are stacked and a center of overlap is chosen. Each copy in turn is rotated by a multiple of 60 degrees around the center and the six copies are combined. The result is an an attractiver object with a 6 fold rotation axis. Six fold terdragons have been studied for use as broadband antennae. Here are four based on first, second, third, and fourth order terdragons. They are scaled to be approximately the same size. 6one_15_4.stl 6two_10_2.stl 6three_5_15.stl 6four_25_75.stl Also included is a larger version of the fourth order amulet, 6four_8_2.stl. The individual terdragons were constructed using terdragon_3d.scad from thing:67886. Rotate_60.scad is the program that took six second order terdragons and created 6two_10_2.stl. Its input was two_10_2.stl. Instructions The curves are best printed directly on the build platform.
