This selector knob is a replacement for a BROAN (kitchen-style) hood fan. The original knob is a plastic injection-molded part with a thin-walled support stem, reinforced with an internal thin metal bushing. The bushing is insufficient to maintain the continuous torsion, which cracks the wall on the support stem. To prevent future failures this model has a significantly broader support stem. The metal bushing can/should be reinstalled for improved metal-on-metal contact and a snug fit. UPDATE: (2016-06-16) Uploaded the original SolidWorks file (SolidWorks 2016 file format).
