EDIT: Updated to include the AU/UK US/EU regions. (Shaft_US) This is a gear knob / shifter for use in Euro Truck Simulator 2 or American Truck Simulator and fits direct to the shaft of the G27 Logitech shifter unit. I've created the shifter to use a Pro-Micro or USB Emulator as the input device, basically anything that can give you a "key press" with a switch. The Pro-Micro will fit in the void of the shaft. In the end I placed the Pro-Micro inside the G27 and ran a cable through a hole I drilled in the centre of the gear unit and into the shaft itself. There is a threaded 6mm hole for a bolt to secure the shaft to the G27 metal shaft, and a standard 5.5mm hole for some USB cable for the switches. I used specific switches in this design. Type "R14-420" into Google. They are 15mm round and are SPDT switches that are ON-ON and stay in position, not momentary. The wiring for this is based on this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FNN00FSuHg My design is based (very loosely) on the Eaton Fuller knob, but has a more round top and front. The shaft and lid will print without supports, but the shaft will need a RAFT that is as wide as the top to aid in bed adhesion. On the underside of the lid you will notice a small half-moon hole. This is the front of the lid and should be centered above the front switch before pressing the lid on. It's simply an orientation marker. On my Anet A8 running TH3D Firmware it takes about 4 hours to print. Thanks for looking, enjoy and please share any makes! NOTE: The side switch is mounted sideways. I noticed this design oversight after printing so the lips of the switch are not flush. I'll likely upload a revised design when I get time so the side switch looks good if rotated or mounted upright. In a "real" truck the switch is pushed from back to front, which is the orientation I have.
