SKS Red Dot Low Mount

SKS Red Dot Low Mount

thingiverse

This is likely the lowest Red Dot mount you can make, for an SKS. Even still, with this Viper attached, I am considering padding my stock by about half an inch, to get a proper cheek weld. But it will work without it, easily enough. This should be printed "upside-down" (picatinny rail down), with "all supports" - that will support the hole, and create a ladder-support for the picatinny rail. Infill should be as high as you are willing to go, and something stronger than PLA would be a good idea, if your printer can handle it. The dimensions are tight on purpose, a very light filing may be needed, since some SKSes may be slightly looser or tighter. The hole is sized to be ideal for a #6 fine machine screw. There are youtube videos on how to remove the rear sight, and leaf spring.
