Skull Candle Mold

Skull Candle Mold

thingiverse

To print, or not to print, that is the question... This here is another DIY candle mold, this time a spooky human skull! A few more Halloween themed things and molds can be found <a href="https://www.thingiverse.com/Superbeasti/collections/all-hallows-day">here!</a> Creating one is simple: Source candle wax and wick (you can melt store bought candles for both) Print all parts (PETG or similar high-ish temperature plastic recommended) Insert the wick in the slot Lock the mold with the two rings and seal the gap of the two halves with tape etc. Melt the wax to around 70 degrees C (158 Freedom units) Cast the candle (fill the mold to the circular neck, don't top it off fully) Let it cool before separating the mould Enjoy bony candle light! Some waxes shrink when cooling, so you might want to fill in the cavity formed by this. Cut the wick before this for a clean bottom, which can be leveled with melting the excess wax off by pressing the candle on a hot surface.
