Skull Lantern Remix
thingiverse
First off, I'd like to give Makerbot major props for coming up with such an incredibly original design. We're talking top-notch skills here. That said, when I first laid eyes on this, I felt it was missing one crucial element: a light source. A lantern without illumination just isn't doing its job. I knew it had huge potential, and with clear plastics now available in the market, some models were practically begging for LEDs. This design screamed for more than just a simple LED to make it shine – it needed to come alive! It was finally time to take my C skills up a notch and really put those Arduinos I'd been ordering on standby to good use. What I came up with was an Arduino sketch that pulsates with varying combinations of 6 colors for 130 preset options! Two RGB LEDs behind the eyes bring this design to life, and I'm loving every minute of it. True red and green come together in a color that's just slightly off from pure green – but hey, who needs perfection when you can have a sick green like this?
