Skullcandy brand Hesh 3 model headphones have a chronic issue that hinge part shatters because it can not handle the stretch with the time. After measuring the dimensions, I designed a new hinge part on SOLIDWORKS to print out from a 3D printer using FDM technology. PLA filament is the best material option because it satisfies the expectations with durability and cost as a material. Because there is a +0,2mm size allowance in the FDM technology, plastic glue should be used instead of screw sockets for assembling.
