The world's first helicopter to use a gas turbine engine instead of a conventional heavy piston engine. In July 1953, the se 3120 Alouette helicopter designed by France came out, which broke the flying speed and cruising distance in helicopter history. However, the helicopter is too complex to be popularized. The French government showed strong interest in the helicopter project and decided to give financial support, but required the enterprise to complete R & D and put into mass production within two years, otherwise all the financial support for the rotorcraft would be terminated. Finally, the company decided to develop se3130 Artouste II helicopter with turbine engine. Alouette II is the first helicopter in the world to carry out mountain rescue. On July 3, 1956, Jean Boulet and crew member Henry Petit carried out the first rescue activity by helicopter at Vallot refuge in Mount Blanc peak, with a flight altitude of 4362 meters. Then on January 3, 1957, Jean Boulet and Gerard Henry drove two Alouette II helicopters to rescue the French air force crew of the sikosky S58 helicopter, which was searching and rescuing the missing climbers in Mount Blanc.
