The skyscrapers puzzle is a form of brain-teaser that offers thousands of different challenges.

The Rules

In each row and column there is exactly one of each skyscraper. The numbers on the side show how many skyscrapers are visible from that point of view. So if you have the number “1” on the side you know there must be the tallest skyscraper next to it because it blocks out the view on the smaller ones. If you have a “4” on the side you can see all the buildings which means that they must be in ascending order.

If there is a number in a field it means that the building there is predetermined.

The Printing

The printing is very easy. If you choose to you can add a colorchange in the baseplate to make the stripes in the road look really nice. But it works well without a colorchange too.

You have a few options for the size of the whole thing:

100% Size

If you choose the files in original size they are the same size as a DUPLO-Block. You can then choose if you want to print the buildings or just the plate. The plate is quite big and barely fits on the buildplate of the Prusa i3 MK3.

Theres no document with numbers available for this size because it wont fit standard A4.

75% Size (*recommended)

This is the size I did for (most of) the photos. It is nice to play with and the details still look good. For this size there are many puzzles as PDF available. There is even a editable pdf to make many more different puzzles.

The files in the folder “70% size” are already scaled correctly - no need to rescale them in the slicer.

50% Size

Print the original files at 50% size and they will fit LEGO-building blocks perfectly. I did this for the photo with the yellow LEGO-blocks. There is a pdf-document available for many puzzles in this size.

The Puzzles

In the pdf-documents you will find some easy to medium difficult puzzles. By searching for “Skyscraper Puzzle” you will thousands more in the internet.

They are easy to print with the editable pdf.
