SLDR's Parametric Strap Adjuster Clip (Customizer)

thingiverse

A replacement strap adjuster clip for sewn-closed straps, which also happens to be parametric. I had a clip just like this fail on me. Gluing it back together also failed. I then remembered I have a 3D printer, and scoured the web for someone who's already solved my problem. There are plenty of other strap clips out there, but they either - aren't designed for my 37mm strap, or - aren't designed for a strap that already has a sewn-in loop. Determined to fix this now, I designed my own clip, intending to use a hexagonal crossbar that could be pushed through the loop in the strap, then glued in place. My own print of it went well, so I cleaned up my OpenSCAD file (a little) and am now paying it forward. I've included pre-baked STLs for 25, 30, 37, 40, and 50 mm straps (only changing the "Hole width" parameter). If you want to generate other dimensions, or want to tweak the clip in other, fun ways, the OpenSCAD file is there for you. **Note on exporting**: The same OpenSCAD file contains both the crossbar and the clip. If you export both at the same time, your slicer will _probably_ treat them as a single object, meaning you can't move them independently. If you want to export them separately, change the "Display" parameter under "Selection" to enable/disable each component, then export each in turn.
