Are your gods very sleepy? Listen, my gods are so sleepy, I had to tuck them in

-to some premium card sleeves.

As many who received their kickstarter copy of Sleeping Gods discovered, you can't store the game components as intended if you sleeve the cards. I designed an insert that

is super cool and the best,

can handle Fantasy Flight card sleeves (if you still have any), and

is usable during play, and I think even streamlines this game a little.

Here's how it works and what you need to print:

The Combat Box

The magnetic box now holds monster cards and tokens related to combat or damage. Print:

1x combat_action

1x combat_cards (highly recommend printing with a brim and only trimming the outside part - it helps contain the cards)

1x combat_damage

1x combat_health

1x combat_synergy

The Expansion Crate

Contains the Arcade Mode cards and all the Dungeons expansion tokens. Print:

1x expansion_base

1x expansion_tokens

The Market Stall

Obviously you like buying stuff, who doesn't? This box contains the bank of resources, coins, market cards, and a spacer for whatever use you can find for it. Print

1x market_cards

1x market_coins

1x market_resources

1x market_spacer

The Quest Chest

The heart of the game, this contains all the quest cards, a container for the alphabet tokens and the four quest-related tokens, and a spacer that can hold used quests if you don't want to use the included tuck box. Print:

1x quest_cards

1x quest_tokens

1x quest_used

The Random Spacer

Just a spacer to give the game box a little more support, can hold the Used Quests tuckbox that comes with the game (personally, I put the punchboard coins in there along with a desiccant pack)

1x top_spacer

The...rest of the game box

The remaining components rest on top of the tuckboxes. This is mostly containers for all the remaining cards and tokens, plus a little inventory board for your to put your coins, resources, and port action card. Print:

2x top_adventure_x2 (includes slot to put the Manticore ship token)

1x top_command

1x top_crew_status

3x top_events_x3

1x top_inventory

1x top_search

1x top_smallcards

I put a lot of effort into this insert, and I hope it proves useful to people out there!

A few points: as you can see in the pictures, if you decide to protect your Synergy and Search tokens with coin capsules, this insert will accommodate that. I do not have the resin resource tokens, so while I believe you can use them with my insert, I make no promises! After printing, I made some changes to a few parts, so some pieces may not look exactly like the pictures. Rest assured, though that any differences are improvements.

EDIT 14 Mar 2021

Forgot to mention, with this solution, there is no space for the Manticore ship board, or any of the rulebook, atlases, or encounter books. I keep those separate in the Tides of Ruin box.

EDIT 30 May 2021

Something I should have clarified better: this insert is designed for the Kickstarter Version of the game that includes both theTides of Ruin andDungeons expansions. If you just have the base retail version, this might not be very useful for you, for two reasons:

one of the cardboard boxes ("The Expansion Crate") will just be totally unused

there is no room for the Manticore board, rulebook, Atlas, and Encounter book, they're meant to be stored inside theTides of Ruin box. You could put them above everything else and accept the lid lift, but that kinda sucks.

So really, if you have the base retail version of Sleeping Gods, and don't intend on sleeving your cards and eventually getting all the expansions, maybe consider one of the other inserts out there.
