Recently had to think about designing my new home and realised that pocket sliding doors are expensive.But a regular sliding door renders the wall useless for stuff like mounting a TV.Behold, an even more expensive, unnecessary and aesthetically crap pipe dream!-Door is pushed manually-Rack and pinion between door and sliding door rail converts linear motion to rotary-Rotary motion transmitted through belt to spur gear-Spur gear reverses rotation to pinion gear for sliding window-Pinion and rack of sliding window produces linear motion for window (opposite of door motion)
