I needed a lamp for my lathe. Found old clip lamp (probably Ikea), but it was not so comfortable to clip it directly to the lathe - the only possibility was mount it horizontally. So, I made something and this is exactly as I wanted: lamp is securely mounted and I can slide it left/right just by pulling. It is made for my lathe, but it is very popular chinese model, well known under many brands and names, should be ok for all of them. Inside a holder there is a place for wire connections, masked by cover (just glue after connecting). Two woodscrews 3.5x25mm are needed for fixing both parts, third screw 3,5x8 is for fixing a lamp inside a hole. Third photo shows my proposal for mounting a switch for this lamp.
