By "slightly universal," I mean this design can fit any printer with an 8mm wall thickness. I've utilized BoomZilla1's "Better 3D Printable Bearing" which proved easy to print and functions well. To improve the bearings, I added a small reverse circle feature, ensuring the spool remains in place. These modified bearings enable smooth rolling of the spool. A threaded rod from my printer serves as a connector for the two parts; if you don't have one, get creative with your solution. The setup makes it easy to remove and install the spool since it only requires lifting. Note: My old, budget printer has loose tolerances, so your results might vary depending on your printer's specifications.
