Current picture is of version 6. The little triangular pieces of tape on the drive gear and skate bearing allow me to monitor filament feed (they should both be rotating). Changes and Improvements: 1/1/15 *Re-aligned filament hole to match up with M7 drive gear Tension screw lines up correctly. Enlarged clearance for skate bearing - spins freely now, no binding Thickened section for thread insert for tension screw Added addition structural supports to stiffen-up mount for stepper and for hotend. Minor work remaining: -re-work fan mount for hot end (more compact) Used brass thread inserts for pinch tension set screw and for clamp mount for hot-end. Files can be edited to use a nut trap instead. Instructions Designed using DesignSpark Mechanical. Printed in PLA 4 shells with 40% infill and a 2mm brim to aid bed adhesion and reduce curling. After print cleanup I leveled out out the stepper mounting plate with clear epoxy and left it to cure overnight on a flat piece of HDPE (the epoxy adheres a bit but does not bond to the HDPE). M3 washer between pinch and stepper mount and another at the tension screw. Fan mount/clamp for hot end presently is re-used from my Vertical Mount Direct Extruder - until I can figure out how to model a con shape in DesignSpark.
