Small Box With Magnetic Lid

Small Box With Magnetic Lid

This is a 60T100W60D box to store various things in it. The walls are thick so it should proove to be really durable. For the lid I used magnets that I crazy glued in place. The magnets I had are 6.4mm in diameter. They will hold anything in place. And if you want to open the lid you just slide it off the box. There is another box similar to this that gave me the idea to use magnets (thing 59332), but thats where the similarities end so I made a new thing. Instructions I printed the box with letters in it which I removed so the STL files are generic so to speak. The lettering can be changes in the CAD file to anything you want. I printed the orange letters later and insterted them since I don't have a dual extruder. The main box I printed standing up since the inside bottom has a fillet to it to make retreiving small objects eassier. The bottom did warm slightly since I used ABS, and 2 or 3 cracks even with an enclosure. So it might be better to print with PLA? The lid I printed standing up so the letters (top) will not require support. But the underside as you can see did require support which i couldn't remove entirely.
