Small Communion Tray

Small Communion Tray

When coming back to regular “in person” worship times after covid, our congregation stopped passing communion trays on Sunday mornings. People could collect the elements of communion in our foyer/lobby area as they came in, but if you forgot to pick up the elements you would find yourself having to rush to the lobby before communion began. We didn’t want to return to passing trays as it would often take as much as 15 minutes to pass the bread, pass the cup, and pass an offering plate. We enjoyed being able to spend that time in more worship, more prayer, more thoughtful reflection on communion, more time to reflect on the scripture, or all of the above. So we decided to instead have a small tray on every row for folks to pass down to other sitting on their row. After communion the trays are passed back with the “empties” put back in the remaining holes. The cup holes are about 1 3/8” diameter to accommodate the size of the “Chalice” style prepackaged communion cups with the larger cup side down, but would accommodate most commercially available communion cups. Printed at 15% infill using PETG.
