When building Electronics projects/kits with ICs (Integrated Circuits), it is difficult to get ICs into their sockets without bending their pins in. This can be done carefully by hand but it's difficult and can sometimes result in uneven bends. To solve this problem, I have developed a simple tool to pinch the pins together so that they are straight. This is the first iteration of the tool and I will be updating it to be able to cope with longer chips. I also intend to create a tool for larger DIP chips as well.
