Small Engine Choke shaft - Low friction

Small Engine Choke shaft - Low friction

thingiverse

This is a replacement of the stock choke shaft used in the carburetors on many small single cylinder engines like GX340, GX390, Predator or Duromax. The stock choke shaft has a flange on the bottom that rides against ridges on the external surface of the carburetor which creates friction in order to hold the choke wherever it is manually set to. I made this part without that flange to allow the choke to move with much less friction which I needed as part of a project to add an external electric choke to the engine via a solenoid. I printed using ABS at 15% fill. Support is definitely required and must be cleared carefully and completely.
