This is a small lamp cover which you can print without support.
You can put 2 small metal bars with screws in the lamp and use them to power your led lamp. I used a halogeen lamp (20 Watt), but this is getting to hot, and will miss form the ABS. Even with the vent holes. But a Power LED will give enough light and will not harm the ABS.
I have print this in the color yellow, it adds a nice warm glow to the light.

This lamp is powered by 12 Volt (power on rail, but you can use your own voltage.

You can insert the powerrail on the side of the lamp and screw them tight.

I designed this lampshade in autocad for the mac. (Not the easiest program for drawing parts for a 3d printer). After this I decided to use solidworks.

Instructions

I used 2 perimeters, 100% infill and a layer height of 0.1
Added 3 mm brim to the object, and used some hairspray on the heated bed (85 degree Celsius) to make it really stick on the heated bed.

Because I printed this with a yellow ABS (backlight) I had to use a print temperature of 245 degree Celsius.
Category: Replacement Parts
