Small model stand for F5F model Backfire-2 To make it easier to work on the Backfire 2 on the workbench and to assemble it on the field, I have constructed a simple, small stand. The dimensions are adjusted so that the fuselage is minimally jammed when the stand is covered with 2mm foam rubber. One-sided adhesive foam rubber plates are available e.g. on ebay. In the front area the stand is slotted, if the BF2 fuselage was equipped with a landing mandrel. Optionally, a ¼ inch nut (photo thread) can be left in during printing, so that the stand can then also be screwed onto a tripod.
