Small, Soft-body Minnow Lure Mold

Small, Soft-body Minnow Lure Mold

UPDATE 1/21/19 So FYI: This mold might look cool, but I designed this without much molding experience. Now that I am more familiar with the process, I know that this mold will not work because of a few different reasons: 1) there is no secondary hole to allow air displaced inside the mold during injection to escape 2) there are no alignment pins 3) the 3d printed material around the mouth would effectively be inside the molded lure after injection, so if it wasn't cut away before injection, it would make it impossible to remove without cutting open the lure These are all fairly easy things to fix in the CAD file, but can also be remedied after 3D printing the current iteration of the mold. Drill a secondary hole or two, snip away the extra material around the mouth (which wouldn't print right anyways), and be extra careful with your alignment. After that, with some release agent, it should work alright. I may or may not update the design. I was never very into the project, but now that I know more about molding, I may give it a shot. ===== Small Lure - looks like small minnow. Actually used rainbow trout object and made mold around that. Haven't tried it yet, but will upload pics! Any comments on improving this design is greatly appreciated! :D This thing was made with Tinkercad. Edit it online https://www.tinkercad.com/things/jfyOFVxB9et
