*UPDATED* New Needle and Backplate added, Gauge Faces Added. Altimeter still in design and testing phase. I designed this for a friend building a Sim cockpit in Australia. Although his sim is a touch screen, there is a need for Standby Instruments or a smaller size. The bezel is 2.3inch/58mm. This is the first and can be used as Airspeed or Rate of Climb/Decent. Just create the right backing and calibrate in SimVim or Mobi flight as needed. The STL Complete is to show the build. The Stepper motor is an X27-168. As continuous rotation is not needed for ASI or Rate you can leave the physical end stop in place. Just consider this when attaching the needle for the 'zero' position. Mount the stepper on the Backplate with 3mm Bolts 15mm long. Glue on the face plate to the surface and Push fit the needle on the Stepper motor Spindle. Then using the spacer place on the Backplate face. Cut out a clear plastic (OHP Plastic) to create the 'Glass' and Sandwich it between the Spacer and the Bezel. Then mount it from behind your panel with M3 Nuts and Bolts. If front mounting, omit the Spacer and just sandwich the 'Glass' between the Bezel and your panel. Suggested driver for the Stepper motor is VID-6606 Altimeter still in the works.
