Smart doorbell from old Android phones

Why not to revive an old and dusty smartphone to a new job? A smart doorbell could be a good goal to achieve, so this project was born. I spent days to finding, installing and trying several available solutions; I ended up to opt for the simplest and effective solution around. "Com Intercom" app is the best solution I found, simple to install and configure, no Internet needed and works out the box. The STL are tailored to Huawei MYA-L11 Y5 (three versions) and Samsung Galaxy S2 (two versions) phones: Huawei: - frontal (door, wall) - 25 degrees (door, wall) - 45 degrees (wall) S2: - frontal (door, wall) - 25 degrees (door, wall) What you need: - an old one of the above as DOOR station - an old android tablet or smartphone as ROOM station - home WiFi, of course - "Com Intercom" app from https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dcco.app.Com - "Boot Apps" app from https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.argonremote.launchonboot&hl=en_US&gl=US - "No Lock" app from https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.jraf.android.nolock&hl=en_US&gl=US I designed the case on my own, one fits an Samsung Galaxy S2 (https://www.tinkercad.com/things/kXAc7QpTZr1-doorbell-galaxy-s2-nfc) and one fits an Huawei MYA-L11 Y5 (https://www.tinkercad.com/things/4CQBRdxkXb7-doorbell-huawei-mya-l11-y5-nfc) These STL ending with "_slot" can be used if you want to power door cell via a normal USB connector. Steps for door cell: - download and install "Com Intercom" - download and install "Boot Apps" - download and install "No Lock" - open No Lock and set it in "Locking disabled" state - open Boot Apps an add in this boot order 1) No Lock 2) Com Steps for room tab: - download and install "Com Intercom" Then: - on door cell open Com, tap upper left icon and choice STATIONS - same on room tab - on both apps tap on upper right and select rescan - wait for both look for other station - both back to main screen - on door cell tap upper left icon and choice DOOR STATION - on room tab tap upper left icon and choice ROOM STATION - on door cell tap on the big button to check all works flawlessy There're several intuitive options in Com settings, explore them all to select yur preferences...
