VIDEO 12/29/2016 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2wzockz7Bo ===================================================================== UPDATE 10/16/16 Corrected Drill_Template_2 and Drill_Template_4, then tested them and discovered a 1 mm error. ===================================================================== UPDATE 10/10/16 Uploaded Version 2 slider brackets with slots and screw holes to secure rods in place, similar to the original Smartfriendz components. I noticed my X-axis sagged slightly under belt tension without these added features. Also uploaded templates for drilling mounting holes for corner pieces, ensuring proper alignment. These are placed on the outside of the box. These will only work with 1/2 inch wood. ===================================================================== Here is my pseudo-SmartrapCore design, inspired by the X3D CoreXY printer (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:730199) to redesign corner brackets that don't hang over edges. This design is for 8 mm rods. Corner brackets mount with three M3 screws and nuts each. Surprisingly, they are quite sturdy and don't budge at all when tightened properly (use nylon lock nuts). FYI: I recommend using the uploaded y-axis sliders instead of official ones to ensure belt alignment. I've uploaded both STL and STEP files with large tolerances on 8mm holes (8.2 mm) due to poor dimensional accuracy from my old printer. If you have trouble editing STEP files, let me know for reuploaded part files with tighter tolerances! Please post your project if you use them.
